The EARSHOT READING SERIES showcases the most exciting and powerful writing by emerging poets and authors in the greater New York City area. The series provides an opportunity for graduate writing students to share their work with an audience that reaches beyond the MFA community. The second reading of each month also highlights the literary merits of one or more established writers, usually in the midst of bursting onto the scene. These readings in particular allow writers of different levels of achievement and varied styles to mingle freely. Poets and prose writers (both fiction and non-fiction) are equally encouraged to participate. Readings are bi-monthly, featuring a diverse range of voices. All EARSHOT readers are welcome to sell or distribute copies of their work at readings, provided the material is not copyrighted to others elsewhere. EARSHOT celebrated its one year anniversary in February of 2006! Hooray! Site design is by Nicole Steinberg. Main Page |
